Baked Ziti

Prep Time: 20 Minutes



  • 8 ounces uncooked tube-shaped pasta (ziti) (about 2 2/3 cups)

  • 1 jar (24 ounces) Prego® Traditional Italian Sauce or Spicy Marinara

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (about 6 ounces)

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese 


  1. Cook and drain the ziti according to the package directions. While the ziti is cooking, heat the oven to 350°F.

  2. Stir the sauce, 1 cup mozzarella cheese and ziti in a large bowl. Spoon the mixture into an 11x8x2-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese.

  3. Bake for 30 minutes or until hot.




  • To freeze, assemble the ziti but do not bake. Cover it tightly with foil and freeze. Bake frozen ziti uncovered at 350°F. for 1hour or until hot. Or refrigerate frozen ziti for 24 hours to thaw. Bake thawed ziti uncovered at 350°F. for 45 minutes or until hot.

  • For 8 servings, double the ingredients. Spoon into a 13x9x2-inch baking dish and bake for 45 minutes or until hot.

  • This recipe is also great with Prego® Roasted Garlic & Herb, Tomato Basil & Garlic or Marinara Italian Sauces.
