Garlic Sautéed Green Beans
Tired of ho-hum side dishes? This simple side has only 5 ingredients and will brighten up any meal. Cooking fresh green beans with chicken broth and garlic gives them a wonderful flavor, while almonds add a delicious crunch.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 pound green beans, trimmed (about 4 1/2 cups)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup Swanson® Chicken Broth

1/4 cup toasted sliced or slivered almonds (optional)
Directions

Heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet over high heat. Add the green beans and cook for 4 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring occasionally.

Add the garlic to the skillet and cook, stirring for 1 minute. Add the broth and heat to a boil, stirring to scrape up the browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Reduce the heat to medium-high. Cook for 3 minutes or until the vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally. Season to taste. Sprinkle with the almonds, if desired.
