Garlic Bread Texas Toast Pizza

Remember French bread pizza? Or English muffin pizza? There's a long history of shortcut pizza recipes, but we've found the perfect one: Garlic Bread Texas Toast Pizzas! Two of the most delicious foods ever, together at last! The Texas toast is a thick slice of garlic bread, buttery and garlicky and amazing on its own, but then you top it with perfectly seasoned pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese (of course) and your favorite toppings and you have pizza that's on a whole other level. Garlic Bread Texas Toast Pizzas are also really fun to make, so set the ingredients out to let everyone make their own!

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 25 Minutes

Serves: 8 people

Ingredients

  • 1 package (11 1/4 ounces) Pepperidge Farm® Garlic Texas Toast (8 slices)

  • 1 cup Prego® Pizzeria Style Pizza Sauce (or Prego® Marinara Sauce)

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 4 teaspoons grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Bake the Texas toast according to the package directions and remove from the oven. Leave the baked toast on the baking sheet and leave the oven on.

  2. Spread 2 tablespoons sauce on each toast. Top each with 2 tablespoons mozzarella cheese and about 1/2 teaspoon Parmesan cheese (customize by adding your favorite pizza toppings).

  3. Bake for 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

Tips

  • Customize it! Top with your favorite pizza toppings before baking. We liked combinations of sliced pepperoni, assorted vegetables and sliced black olives.
